...late on the bandwagon....

...okay, I admit it....I am late to jump on the 'Mad Men' bandwagon...I know it's season three...I know I've missed a lot...but I'm here to say, 'better late than never!'...and you know what piqued my interest??...It was all those 'Mad Men Yourself' icons on Facebook and the rest of the networking sites...I was thinking, 'HEY!...everyone is looking so cool, so swanky, so what I love...what's up???'

...then when I watched the first episode of the new season...well, that's it...I am sucked into it completely now...and love every second of it...

...but my favourite part of the show is Joan Holloway...that red hair, the voice...the carriage...and most importantly...she has curves...obvious curves...and not the Size 6 in a Size 0 world that is La-La-Los Angeles where I reside as a could-be spokesperson for Lane Bryant, the Avenue, and Torrid....she has womanly curves...and it makes my heart jump with joy...even more so because she's given a wardrobe that shows them all off to full advantage...it makes me want to see her sitting at a bar...sidle up to her, sit down and throw back a couple really dirty martinis with her...because you KNOW she could drink you under the table and her red lipstick would never smear...

....yeah, maybe I'm a little jealous....but here she is...is her Joan-Glory....and my 'Mad Men' she-selves for the world to see....

...last night....

...I started going through some of my jewelry...the conclusion?....I have a LOT...and it really is time to thin the collection...found a Miriam Haskell from the 50's that I have never worn...white milk glass leaves and rice shaped milk glass beads...very cute...took photos today....will be listed on Etsy by the end of the week along with another 50's-60's Japanese milk glass collar necklace...also very cute...

...so jewelry is forthcoming...as are handbags...I have some here and a bunch in storage...I'm going to be busy...

...finally!

...posted three new listings today on my etsy shop at www.topkatvintage.etsy.com ...hoping to post more tomorrow...I need to dig through the jewelry collection because there is a ton that I don't wear anymore and I'm sure someone out there will appreciate it as much as I have...

...so much going on....I think it's time to really sit down and seriously make a schedule...because leaving the list in my head gets not enough accomplished....and that makes Kat an Unhappy Camper...

...yes, it's that time of year again...when I purchase the Bible...otherwise known as the September issue of Vogue...in all its glorious 500+ pages...

...I haven't gotten very far, but two teasers from the cover got my attention...

...boots are ALWAYS a good thing...but especially in the fall...there is nothing like a new pair of Fall boots....now I just have to save up to buy them...


...so far this is the pair that I'm in love with....

...from Elizabeth and James, the line that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson design...these are just fabulous...the only thing that would make them better is if they came in grey...like a dark charcoal...yum....but the camel will work...

...you know that feeling of having a new notebook...new pen...and the first time you open the notebook, you hear the crack of the binding...the page is bright white, waiting for that first stroke of ink...mmmm....this is how it feels...
